THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADS TO REPENTANCE

Barbara Perkins‎

THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADS TO REPENTANCE
Almighty God asks us a most profound question in the last verse of Romans 2:1-4, to get us to focus on how deep His love is for us. (1) “Therefore, you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. (2) But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. (3) And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? (4) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” God is the Righteous Judge and He is not pleased with us when we are so preoccupied with the sins of others that we fail to recognize and repent of the same sins. God will judge us all when we act in that manner. God says, DO YOU DESPISE ME BECAUSE I AM NOT JUDGING THE BIG PICTURE LIKE YOU? God sees all and He is not pleased with sin in high or low places—no matter what our status might be in society. He says, DON’T YOU KNOW THAT IT IS MY GOODNESS THAT CAUSES ONE TO REPENT? God is so good, loving, kind and just that He gives every one of us an opportunity to come back to Him when we mess up—when we sin. God patiently waits for us to repent—ask Him for forgiveness, turn from our wicked ways, and start making our way to Him. That’s why it is the richness of God’s goodness that leads us to repentance. Thank You, LORD GOD for Your goodness towards us. Your goodness, mercy and grace are incomparable!

SPEAKING GOD’S WORD

Barbara E. Perkins

SPEAKING GOD’S WORD

I want to focus on the importance of speaking God’s word. I will be using quotes from both the Old and New King James Bibles. My question is, “How important is it for us, Christians, to speak God’s word in our daily lives and circumstances?” Let’s take a look at how the word of God responds to this question. Let’s begin with the beginning: In Genesis Chapter 1, God demonstrated to us the power of His word when He spoke everything into existence. Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…” In Genesis 1: 26, 27 God’s word says we are created in God’s image, according to His likeness. With our recreated spirits, we are like Jesus Christ and our Father God, plus, we have the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us. God wants us to speak His word over our lives and the lives of others in faith to invite Him to show up in our lives. In fact God’s word says, “…I will hasten (rush) My word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12). God says observe My word in Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…” Then He says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void (of its intended purpose)” (Isaiah 55:11). In Isaiah 40:8 God says, “My word stands forever.” Look at God’s powerful statement in Psalm 138:2, “…For I have MAGNIFIED MY WORD above all My name.” My God, how can we fail speaking and doing (living) Your word? The Lord God’s word also tells us how to protect ourselves from sinning against Him. God says, Hide My word in your heart so that you will not sin against me. “Put Me in remembrance (of what My word says); let us plead together; you declare, that you may be justified (acquitted)” (Isaiah 43:26). God wants to know that we know His word so that we can speak victory over our circumstances. In John’s Gospel 17:14, before Jesus ascended to heaven He told the Father God, “I have given them (My disciples) Your word.” The word of God says, the Lord Jesus will confirm God’s word with signs following, if we speak it in Jesus’s name (Mark 16:16-18). There are limitless provisions in God’s word, His name and in Jesus’ name—exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).’ ‘Speak God’s Word!’ Holy Father, thank You for Your Word! I bow my head and I lift my hands in adoration and total surrender to You. I am in awe of Your majesty and power and the fact that You would entrust me with the wonders of Your power. My God, My Savior, My King I worship You!

A PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

 Barbara E. Perkins

 A PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Psalm 51:1-4, 9-12, 14-17 (NKJV) the Psalmist David cries out God, (1)” Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. (2) Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. (3) For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. (4) Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight…” (9) Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. (10) Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (11) Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. (12) Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.” (14) “Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. (15) O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. (16) For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. (17) The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise.” This was David’s plea to God for forgiveness after Nathan the prophet confronted David about his sin with Bathsheba. Sin is so treacherous! It betrays God’s trust of us. We act like sin is okay with God because His wrath hasn’t penetrated us. God is a just God, but He wants obedient children that He can lift up before the world as His shining examples. We are God’s children, if Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord; therefore, as Jesus Christ’s ambassadors we have to shine for Him. We can ill afford to play around with sin! Look at David, he was “the apple of God’s eye,” and he messed up badly. But, David repented and God forgave him. However, because of David’s sins his family suffered tremendous loss, including the deaths of several of his children (2 Samuel Chapters 12-18). God is so just and faithful that He tells us how to get sin out of our lives. 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) (9) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Father God, I thank You for being so faithful and just. I love You Lord, thank you for loving me! Holy Father, I exalt You because You are more than wonderful.

Our Urgent Responsibility For Prayer

 Barbara E. Perkins

Our Urgent Responsibility For Prayer

The word of God in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) says, " If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land." Heavenly Father, I love Your word. I thank You for the practicality of Your word. How can I not understand Your word when it is explicit in what You have said to us? In Your abundant mercy and grace You laid out a plan to heal our land of its woes. I truly thank You Lord because I am so saddened by the devastating events in our land today. You said if Your people would do 4 simple things, You would do 3 things to heal our land. Lord I am going to purpose in my heart to spend more time in prayer and doing the critical things that You ask here in Your word. I believe that many others will join me in this effort, which is to: (1) Be humble, (2) Always pray (in all situations), (3) Seek Your face (guidance/wisdom from Your word), and (4) turn from wickedness/ungodliness. Lord, You said if we would follow the previous guidelines for prayer: (1) You would hear from heaven, (2) You would forgive us, and (3) You would heal our land. My Lord, You are true to Your word and Your promises are true. Please help us to be even more faithful to a prayer life that is worthy of Your abundant blessings because our land is hemorrhaging and in dire need of rescue. Please have mercy on us Lord! We need You!

GOD'S PLAN FOR SPIRITUAL FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE--PART 3

In Ephesians 6:13-18 (Amplified Bible) the word of God says, “(13) Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. (14) Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, (15) And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the [a]firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness [b]produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. (16) Lift up over all the [covering] shield of [c]saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. (17) And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit [d]wields, which is the Word of God. (18) Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people). Throughout these scriptures the Lord uses metaphors to teach critical concepts so that we will be able to understand how to be effective in spiritual warfare. First and foremost, we need to put on (13) God’s complete armor: (14) We must stand firm with truth and with integrity. (15) Our feet must be prepared to go forth with the Gospel of peace in all circumstances. (16) Above all, our covering is our faith in God, enabling us to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (17) Our essential head covering is salvation (through Jesus Christ) and we need the sword of the Holy Spirit—God’s word. The word of God cuts through all kinds of confusion or strife (Hebrews 4:12). (18) Finally, we urgently need to pray all the time, in every situation, in the (Holy) Spirit (1Corinthians 14:14, 15) with all manner of prayer for all of God’s people. The word said, “Put on God’s whole armor…” Two or three pieces of armor will not be effective. Holy Father, help us to desire to put on Your whole armor so that we can recognize the enemy, his strategies and be effective in carrying out spiritual warfare. Father, help us to grasp the awesome power Your word possesses. Holy Father, I thank You for leading us by Your Holy Spirit in thought, word and purpose.

GOD’S PLAN FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE—PART 2

 Barbara E. Perkins

GOD’S PLAN FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE—PART 2

Part 1 of God’s Plan For Spiritual Warfare allowed us to briefly examined 2Corinthians 10:3-5. God’s word revealed that we are in a war that requires God’s mighty weapons for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds. God’s word also revealed that we, Christians, must “refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself against the knowledge of God.”
In Ephesians 6:10-12 (Amplified Bible), the word of God says, “(10) In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. (11) Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. (12) For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Verse 10 says we have to be strong in the Lord. The Lord’s strength is far greater than ours. How do we become strong in the Lord? We trust, meditate and do God’s word! We are empowered through our union with Him. We have to put on God’s WHOLE ARMOR so that we can successfully stand against all the strategies and deceits of the devil. In spiritual warfare our war is with “principalities, against powers and rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places”(NKJV). That’s why the whole armor of God is necessary for our success. Heavenly Father, thank You for preparing us for spiritual warfare through Your word. God’s Plan For Spiritual Warfare will conclude with Part 3.

GOD’S PLAN FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Barbara E. Perkins

GOD’S PLAN FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE

In 2Corinthians 10:3-5 (Amplified Bible), the word of God says, “(3) For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. (4) For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, (5) [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),
(6) Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete. God’s spiritual warfare plan lets us know that we are at war, but not with fleshly opponents and we are not using “mere human weapons.” We, saints, are using God’s mighty weapons of all kinds of prayer for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds in every area of society. We refute arguments, theories and reasonings that are contrary to what Jesus Christ has taught in God’s word. But, we have to be obedient to and secure in God’s word in order to refute information that is contrary to God’s word. God’s word is a very powerful weapon. However, if we dilute God’s word with “maybe,” or “perhaps,” or “God’s word used to work,” we no longer have an effective weapon. God’s word is awesome when we believe it. His word is the same yesterday, today and forever (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8). Lord, help us to believe and trust Your word! In Part 2 of this message I want to share how essential prayer is to God’s Plan For Spiritual Warfare.

GOD’S WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID!

Barbara E. Perkins

GOD’S WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID!

The word of God declares in Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV), “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” My God, I thank You that Your word is accomplishing victory in the lives of believers every time it is spoken, as You said it would—even today. That’s powerful!!! In Psalm 138:2 Your word declares, “I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; FOR YOU HAVE MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD ABOVE ALL YOUR NAME.” Lord, help me to recognize the magnitude of the power that Your word carries. In the beginning, You spoke Your word and the earth came into existence (Gen. Chapter 1). Moses uttered Your word and the Israelites crossed the Red Sea on dry ground (Ex. 14:10-16). Awesome! Joshua dared to believe Your word when he uttered it and the wall of Jericho fell down (Joshua Chapter 6). Holy Father, Your word is a lightning rod!!! Deborah, the prophetess, spoke Your word and it caused her to leap into history. When Deborah spoke Your word to Barak, Your military captain, she rebuke him for not obeying Your word—resulting in You, Lord, giving a military victory to a woman (Judges 4:4-21). …Because Deborah dared to trust Your word. Hallelujah!!! Jesus spoke Your word and a man at the Pool of Bethesda, who had been ill 38 years, took up his bed and walked as he was commanded (John 5:1-9, 14:10, 17:8). Glorious! There are so many more amazing examples of Your word’s tremendous power. Lord, I thank You for Your word and in Hebrews 4:12 it says, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heavenly Father, thank You for unveiling Your powerful word to all of us who have ears to hear. Lord, I hear Your word and I bless Your wonderful name. I give You praise, honor and glory for Your awesome word!

THE GIFT OF JOY

Barbara E. Perkins

THE GIFT OF JOY
Joy is a part of the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, 23) and we receive it when we become born again, when we confess Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Unlike happiness, joy is not influenced by our circumstances.
In Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) the word of God declares, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” How do we get joy? Get saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and stay in God’s presence. How do we stay in God’s presence? The Prophet Jeremiah tells us how! Jeremiah 15:16 records, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.” We stay in God’s presence by feasting on His word daily. Why is it so important to feast on God’s word daily? Nehemiah tells us why! In Nehemiah 8:10, God’s leader and the governor of His people encouraged them during a period of tremendous adversity with the following words: “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Having joy in the Lord gives us the strength we need to be overcomers, especially when we are under attack. This strength comes from God as a result of reading, studying and mediating His word on a regular basis. Then we say what God says about our circumstances: “…Fear not…“ (Is. 43:1-3). …By Whose (Jesus’) stripes you were healed…” (1Pet. 2:24). “…The seed of the righteous shall be delivered” (Prov. 11:21). “…We shall not bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. It shall come to pass that before they call I (God) will answer; and while they are still speaking I will hear” (Is. 23, 24). “And my God shall supply all your need…” (Phil. 4:19). “…I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you…” (Is. 48:17). “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper…” (Is. 54:17). Resulting in: It’s joy unspeakable and full of glory!

GIVE PRAISES TO THE LORD! PART 2

Barbara E. Perkins

GIVE PRAISES TO THE LORD! PART 2
The word of God declares in Psalm 92:1, 2 (NKJV), (1) “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; (2) To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night…” Saints, it is always good to thank the LORD and to sing praises to Him because He is that good. When we look at the word, LORD (spelled in all capital letters) it has a very significant meaning in the Hebrew which signifies just how wonderful He is. It means YAHWEH: I AM, the “God Who Always Is.” The Lord is everything we need, no matter what circumstances we encounter! He is our sustenance! The LORD is our life line! What a powerful fact! How can we not praise the LORD? But, He requires obedience from us. In Isaiah 1:19, 20 (NKJV), His word says, (19) “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; (20) But, if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” If we don’t obey and trust what the LORD has said in His word, we remove ourselves from His protection. That is crystal clear and very easy to understand. The LORD loves us and He wants only His best for us. That’s why He left guidelines in His word for us to follow. In Psalm 92: 1 it also says, “It is good …to sing praises to your name, O Most High…” O Most High in the Hebrew is El Elyon, “the Mighty One.” Our God is Mighty! In fact, no one and no thing is mightier than He. Hallelujah!!! All praise to our God! When we think about our great God and how He provides for us with His lovingkindness in the morning and His faithfulness every night we should want to give Him all the glory He deserves. The LORD keeps watch over His word to perform it in our lives and He keeps watch over His people to see who is faithful. Praise His holy name!

TRUSTING GOD’S WORD FOR YOUR HEALING

Barbara Perkins

TRUSTING GOD’S WORD FOR YOUR HEALING
Dear Saints,
The following are healing scriptures that I would like for you to read and meditate every day. Then every day, thank the Lord for your healing—which is offering a prayer of thanks or thanksgiving. In Colossians 4:2 (NKJV) the word of God says, “Continue earnestly in prayer (whatever you are believing the Lord for), being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Thanking and praising the Lord is so very important in all circumstances. In Psalm 100:4, 5 the word says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”
Matthew 8:17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”
1Peter 2:24
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
3John 3:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Psalm 103:1-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! (2) Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: (3) Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, (4) Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, (5) Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 107:20
He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Psalm 118:17
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
Exodus 23:25
“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.” And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
Isaiah: 53:3-5
He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. (4) Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. (5) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Saints, in Isaiah 55:11 God says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void (empty of its intended purpose), but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” In Isaiah 43:26, His word says, “Put Me in remembrance; let us contend (plead) together; state your case, that you may be acquitted (justified).” Finally, in Psalm 50:15, the Lord says,” Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Praise the Lord right now, in the midst of your trial, knowing that He is loving, faithful and full of compassion.
My prayer for you is that God’s word will produce peace in your mind, as well as healing in your body and a praise report in your mouth. Be blessed!
In Jesus Name,

PROTECTING YOUR MOST VALUABLE POSSESSIONS—YOUR CHILDREN!

BARBARA SOWS THE WORD…

PROTECTING YOUR MOST VALUABLE POSSESSIONS—YOUR CHILDREN!
Dear Saints,
The most important thing that we can do for our children, our most valuable and precious possessions, is to pray God’s word over them every single day. Praying to God is simply, talking/communicating with Him. After praying God’s word over our children, then we must thank God for being faithful to His word and protecting them. These could be children you have birthed in the natural, in the spirit, or any children for which you are led to pray.
The word of God in 1 John 5:14, 15 (NKJV) says, “14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him (God), that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” Trust God, pray according to His will (His word is His will), know that He hears your prayer, and receive from God. How long do you wait on God to answer your prayer? However long it takes for your answer to manifest. It could take 20 seconds, or 20 minutes to your answered prayer, or it could even take 20 years. The bottom line is, TRUST GOD!
In Philippians 4:6 the word of God says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made known to God.” We don’t have to be anxious about whether God will answer our prayers. WE THANK GOD DAILY AND STUDY HIS WORD SO THAT WE ARE PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT (Hebrews 13:20, 21). GOD WILL DO HIS PART, IF WE WILL DO OUR PART.
If you have made Jesus Christ your Savior and Lord, you can say, “Heavenly Father Your word says, (Quote His word from the scriptures). Then say, “This is my prayer for (insert your child’s/children’s name(s).” After you have prayed as many of God’s promises as you choose too for your child/children, then thank God for being faithful to His word and answering your prayer.
THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURES WILL AID YOU IN PRAYING GOD’S WORD FOR YOUR CHILDREN:
-Isaiah 65:23, 24 (NKJV) 23- They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, And their offspring with them. 24- “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
-Proverbs 11:21b Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; BUT THE POSTERITY OF THE RIGHTEOUS WILL BE DELIVERED.
-Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, ”says the Lord. An example of how to pray God’s word: Father God, I thank You that no weapon that is formed against my Son (insert his name), my daughter (insert her name), my granddaughter (insert her name), my husband (insert his name), nor me will prosper and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, Your word says that I am too condemn. I trust the power and authority of Your word and I thank You for Your divine protection, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
-Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
-Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.
-Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Another example of how to pray God’s word, “Father God, I thank You that Your word will not return void, it will accomplish what you please in the lives of my offspring, and it will prosper in protecting my son, daughter, and granddaughter.”
-Isaiah 43:26 PUT ME IN REMEMBERANCE; LET US CONTEND TOGETHER; STATE YOUR CASE, THAT YOU MAY BE ACQUITTED. (Ask God for forgiveness when you know you are not living right and purpose in your heart to live for Him. You can’t hide anything from God and He wants to help you). Let God help you!!!
-Psalm 50:15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
-Matthew 18:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Example: Heavenly Father, Your word tells me what I bind on Earth is bound in heaven and what I loose on Earth is loosed in heaven. So in obedience to Your word, I bind Satan and the forces of darkness from my children, and I loose Your ministering spirits (angels) to do battle on my behalf and for my children, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
-Hebrew 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
-Lamentations 2:19 “Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.” (Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord for the life of your young children).
My desire is that you will pray to God daily (in Jesus’ Name) for the protection of your children using His powerful word. In Jeremiah 1:12, God’s word says, “Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I AM READY TO PERFORM MY WORD.” Our merciful God also said in Isaiah 55:11, “MY WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID (without producing the desired effect). In addition, read and meditate Mark 11:24, 25 on prayer. You cannot forget to speak God’s powerful word over your children daily and trust Him (Psalm 138:1-3).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want to make Jesus Christ your Savior and Lord, repeat this prayer (based on Romans 10:9, 10):
Dear God, I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart. I believe that He is Your Son. I believe that He died on the cross, shed His blood and arose from the dead for me. Dear God, please forgive me of my sin (nature). I confess Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. In Jesus’ name! Amen! Now, if you prayed this prayer you are saved! Praise God! Also, NOW, you are able to pray the previous scriptures of God’s promises over your child/children for God’s protection.
In Jesus’ Name,

STAYING IN THE LORD GOD’S PRESENCE

Barbara Perkins

STAYING IN THE LORD GOD’S PRESENCE
In Genesis 3:8 (NKJV), there is this picture of the LORD God walking through this beautiful, luscious, green garden at a time of day when a fresh, sweet breeze probably rustled through the trees and vegetation. This was a good place to be because God was there and He was expecting to commune with Adam and Eve, His creation. The word of God stated, “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” Sin caused Adam and Eve to hide from God’s presence and to lose everything that the LORD God had prepared for them and mankind. But, God had a plan to redeem mankind and it was through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice of His life on the cross allowed those of us who believe in Him to get back in fellowship with God—thus allowing us to experience His presence in our lives. Sin separates us from God, but Jesus paid the price with His life for us to be able to run back into the presence of God. Hallelujah! Oh, Your love and mercy for us LORD God is overwhelming and Jesus’ obedience to Your will, even unto death on the cross for us is unimaginable. Thank You Jesus! All glory to God, the Father and to Jesus Christ, His Son! What a wonderful Savior and Lord Jesus is to those who believe in Him.

REST IN THE LORD!

REST IN THE LORD!
The LORD GOD gives us some commands in Psalm 37:3-11 (NKJV) that are for such a time as this. (3) “TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; Dwell in the land, and FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS. (4) DELIGHT YOURSELF ALSO IN THE LORD (love on Him), And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (5) COMMIT YOUR WAY TO THE LORD, TRUST ALSO IN HIM, And He shall bring it to pass. (6) He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. (7) REST IN THE LORD, and WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM; DO NOT FRET BECAUSE OF HIM WHO PROSPERS IN HIS WAY, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (8) CEASE FROM ANGER, and FORSAKE WRATH; DO NOT FRET—IT ONLY CAUSES HARM. (9) For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. (10) For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. (11) But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” The word of God is so rich and powerful, if we believe it. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? Is there anything He can’t do for His people? Is there anything the Lord can’t fix for us? If your answer was “Yes” to any of these questions, then immerse yourself in His word and allow the Lord to reveal Himself to you. But, if your answer was, “NO” to all of the previous questions then you are in a good position to Trust the Lord. Now, Rest in Him and see His salvation in your life. Thank You, Lord for your wonderful word that never returns void (empty/unproductive), Isaiah 55:11. Thank You, Lord for loving us so much.

THE LORD GOD IS WONDERFUL!

THE LORD GOD IS WONDERFUL!
When someone says, “What just happened?” It can’t be explained but, it was wonderful, beautiful, miraculous and totally GOD. Know that the power of the LORD GOD, His Holy Spirit and/or His angels blew by. We didn’t see them! But Glory to GOD because we sure saw their works and their results. Hallelujah to the LORD! There might be times when our backs are against the wall, not knowing what to do. But if we truly look to the LORD, trusting Him, He will show up. The following passages of scriptures can encourage us, God’s people, to trust Him.

Exodus 14:13-16, 19-22 (Pharaoh plans to destroy God’s people.)
19 “And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night. 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. 24 Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. 25 And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, ‘Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.’”

Acts 12:5-11 (King Herod places Peter in prison with plans to kill him.)
5 “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. 6 And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, ‘Arise quickly!’ And his chains fell off his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, ‘Gird yourself and tie on your sandals’; and so he did. And he said to him, ‘Put on your garment and follow me.’ 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.’”
